Visible Scars is the 9th album to be released as part of ALPHA, the 26 album asynchronous alphabetical metal juggernaut. It will be the 22nd album in alphabetical order when the project is completed. Most exciting for this time around, Visible Scars will be the first album released as part of ALPHA in which both of its "bookends" are already present. Listeners will get to experience the 3 album run of Unexplained Wounds, Visible Scars, and When Heart and Mind Collide, getting a small taste of the full breadth of the project.

Visible Scars is heavy, brutal, and comes out swinging with little to no hesitation. Nearly every song features blasting drums and guitars, careening through a soundscape of harsh screams and thunderous growls. Alongside whiplash-inducing tempo changes, the songs attack the willing listener with almost non-stop intensity. Even the "ballad" has an all-out thrash section.
